Leaded Brass is specially alloyed to provide excellent machinability along with improved strength and corrosion resistance. The presence of lead enhances pressure tightness by sealing micro-porosity, making it suitable for precision components used in fluid handling systems. Depending on application requirements, leaded brasses are available in low, medium, and high leaded grades and are commonly used for screws, valves, fittings, bearings, fasteners, architectural hardware, and general machined parts.
